About

Drew Super's passion for photography began on his 11th birthday when his parents presented him with his first camera.  From that moment on, he was unstoppable - he photographed family, friends, pets, neighbors, and social events - anything and everything in his environment became a cherished photo subject for his lens.  By the time he entered high school, he knew that photography would be his life's work.

As a high school student, he had the good fortune of spending his summers as an intern with the renowned Robert Barclay Studio in New York.  During those summers, the famed photographers at the studio allowed him to assist in the dark room work and participate in assist in photo shoots.  All the while, he actively practiced his craft while attending Great Neck North High School where he was a valued photo contributor to the yearbook and school newsletter.  With all this experience in his early years, portrait photography became second nature for him.

After high school, he continued his training at the Germain School of Photography while working at the AMI Art studio in Manhattan.  At AMI, he photographed as well as contributing his extensive expertise to offset camera work, special effects and retouching.  After many years, the company folded and Drew anticipated changes in the art of photography so he went on to earn a BS degree in General Studies in Computers, business and math from New York Technology in Old Westbury, NY.  With that training, Drew was able to make a seamless transition into digital photography and has successfully owned and operated his own photo studio, Drew Super Photography for the over 25 years.
